The Animal Impact

Hi, I have been gone for a hot second. In this blog, I am going to explain how ocean pollution and how we as humans impact the animals in the ocean. Fishing is one of the most significant drivers of declines in ocean wildlife populations. The number of overfished stocks globally has tripled in half a century and today fully one-third of the world's assessed fisheries are currently pushed beyond their biological limits, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Over-fishing is closely tied to by-catch—the capture of unwanted sea life while fishing for a different species. The damage done by over-fishing goes beyond the marine environment. Billions of people rely on fish for protein, and fishing is the principal livelihood for millions of people around the world. Many people who make a living catching, selling, and buying fish are working to improve how the world manages and conserves ocean resources. However, with only 2/5 of the population trying to clean, the Earth isn't doing its best. WE all need to at least try to do a little even if that means recycling every day or even picking up litter fond at your school. These little improvements make a difference. No one has to do so much if everyone does a little. So please, try to do your best on saving the earth.
